The ANSWER to life itself!!!

The ANSWER to life!

I think I have figured it all out. Finally got my head around it all.

"LIFE" does not mean anything at all. Zippo. Nadda. Squat. Jack shit.

You know why you can’t figure out the 'meaning of life?'

It’s because life is not a QUESTION.

Let me explain further.

Personally, I believe it is a random universe into which we bring meaning.

Nothing 'means' anything - other than the meanings we attach to it.

If you go out this evening and come back to discover that your car has been stolen - it does not 'mean' anything. It just your car is gone. Full stop.

However, we will start to attach meaning because as human beings, we like - nay, need things to have a meaning. We need things to be 'significant' - it helps us get a handle on our world.

So we start with. “Looks like I am not supposed to be driving this week."

Maybe we go into " I had a bad feeling tonight. I knew this would happen"

And the old favourite "this is God's way of saying walk more".

I know I am giving a flippant example but can you see how it works?

A random event happens and we ask ourselves “what does this mean?"

Now your brain is a fantastic gizmo designed to answer any question you ask of it.

It will always find an answer - whether there is an answer or not!

Can you see how this process works in a different situation? Say, you come home and your partner has gone, taking the furniture, kids and bank account with them? In a situation like that, you are apt to ask yourself some pretty heavy questions.

But BEWARE! You know the expression “Ask a silly question and you get?"..........?

A silly answer, right?

Same thing in this situation.

Ask yourself the question " Oh God, Why me?" and your brain is likely to come back with "Why not?”

Ask yourself “Why can’t I ever find someone who will really love me?" and you will probably get back "Because you are an un-lovable waste of skin."

Silly question evokes a silly answer.

You are looking for 'meaning?

Maybe start by asking a better question in the first place.

Ask yourself “how can I make sure this never happens to me again?" and maybe you will start to get a better quality of answer.

A computer programming term you may be aware of is GIGO.
It stands for “Garbage in, garbage out."

I once heard it said that the quality of our life is dictated by the quality of questions that we ask ourselves on a consistent and regular basis.

Interesting thought.

If it is true, I wonder what questions we spend all day asking ourselves.

Are they questions which support us? (How can I use that, How Can I benefit from this, What can I add to that to make it even better? How can really make a difference here?)

Or questions that help us buy into the pop-corn mentality of the masses ( What am I going to lose? How am I going to have less because this? Whats wrong here? How/When will this start to go wrong?)

So many people are obsessed with finding the 'Answers' to life.

Me? I am more interested in what the questions are.

When you really understand the question, it dissolves the question.

Forget seeking the answers.

Focus on the questions.

Even if its for no other reason than that's the ONLY aspect that YOU are in charge of.

Every day.
